About Women's Wellness Society™

Meet the founders

The Women’s Wellness Society’s™ mission is simple but empowering, “Bridging the gap between women and wellness through education.” Our goal; to Educate, Empower and Enrich!

You know, it seems like just yesterday when I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. A young girl just turning 18, I was scared. Without a single friend who knew how

to console me, without a single book on the shelves offering guidance and without the internet to research my new found affliction, I felt helpless. I went on to endure 4 surgeries to my abdomen one being so invasive it took me almost a year to recover from. After my last surgery, I was told in recovery that there was a good chance that I would never have children. You can only imagine the sadness I felt having been adopted; not knowing if I would never see a child of my own.

Just coming out of the woods, at least for the time being from that illness, I was then diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. In two years time, my life became a whirlwind of confusion, loneliness and sadness. I felt my body would never be the same again. I chose to keep all the emotional pain inside.

After my last surgery I decided I had no other option but to rely upon me and my own ability to obtain the knowledge necessary to keep my body and immune system in good health. I was done with treatments for the illnesses, I wanted to learn the causes behind my poor health and make my own informed choices on the treatments.

I must say that this journey was not an easy one at first. As I delved into the world of buying organic, switching to holistic doctors and reading up on the latest treatments and modalities available to me, I grew even more confused. I found there to be so many options with so many names and purposes, I wondered if I would ever sort through it all to find what I needed in my life to give me peace of mind and to prevent these types of afflictions from reoccurring.

Well here I am today, 13 years later. I haven’t figured it all out but I have learned a lot along the way. I have a wonderful husband, two little girls and I enjoy great health.

My inspiration behind WWS™ was to create a support for women of like minds. A network of women world wide that could join together in times of need to offer advice, support and help, both online and in person. I realize many of you are in search of the same knowledge I was in need of years ago, and many of you come to us as professionals who can help shed light on your areas of expertise. Together, I believe we can move mountains.

Women's Wellness Society™

As a Colon Cancer survivor of 21 years, health, wellness, and prevention has always been my passion. Each day that passes, I am more committed to sharing what knowledge I have acquired and hopefully help someone sort out the madness that occurs when you are diagnosed with serious illness. Several years ago, I became

acquainted with an incredible woman in my community that shared a similar vision.  Although there was over a twenty year age span between the two of us, I immediately knew we would be friends and set out to open communications between health professionals and the general public. Kellie Kuecha and myself, have both experienced the challenge of reversing poor health, and want to guide women to a comfortable place where they can become educated and enrich their lives.

When you visit an office with a particular medical challenge, you are not relaxed enough to grasp and learn all of the options that might be available to help your situation.  It is in keeping this in mind, that the Women's Wellness Society™ was formed.

As I addressed the first meeting in Boca Raton , Florida several weeks ago, I shared my story with fifty two other women, from many health professions along with some eager women who just came to experience first hand information about various health topics.  It was at that moment, that I knew, an instant sisterhood had formed in our community, where support and information would gravitate, and each woman could feel secure to draw upon the knowledge of the Society.  We all sipped tea, exchanged views and listened to an incredible keynote speaker that evening on women's health.  I am proud to be a part of such an organization and look forward to its national expansion with new Chapters forming each an every month.
