Renewal: An Intensive for Women. The remembrance and honoring of the Divine Feminine is necessary if we are to make the shift in consciousness that Aquarius promises. It is Sophia, by all Her many names around the world, who brings wisdom to men and women. It is the Divine Feminine that teaches us respect and relationship to life in all its forms.

RENEWAL has two goals, healing and empowerment. Healing is often necessary as we face the psychic wounds incurred from a world that has dishonored the Mother. On the other side of the pain lies great joy and personal power. We dance with these objectives during the intensive in many ways; from highly personal inner work to group experiences; from rituals to a healing service. There is time and space allotted for instruction, meditation, playtime. We explore the many faces of the Mother, from pagan-priestess to mythic Goddess, from Mothers-of God to Earth mothers. Mainly we seek to discover where those myths and metaphors live within us. We’ll review the perceptions of the Feminine from around the world, looking closely at what happened to Her in our culture, how that has affected us and how we participate in rebirthing that consciousness within ourselves.

Experiences in RENEWAL are designed to stir ancient memories and the longing in every woman to embrace the Goddess within herself and to grow in her understanding of the spiritual power of the Feminine. Women healing, affirming and empowering women-

 Gloria D. Karpinski

is a holistic counselor, spiritual director, teacher and author. Her seminars as well as her individual in-depth life attunements emphasize the relevancy of the universal spiritual principles to everyday life and the interdynamics of mind, body, emotions and spirit.

Gloria graduated from the University of North Carolina. Prior to her ordination by the International Church of Ageless Wisdom, an interfaith church without walls, she was a journalist. For twenty-plus years, Gloria has taught all over North America and in many other countries.

She has conducted seminars and given lectures for such diverse groups as psychotherapists, actors and doctors, in venues ranging from large conferences to colleges, churches, hospitals and specialized groups.

Gloria is the author of Where Two Worlds Touch: Spiritual Rites of Passage (1991) and Barefoot on Holy Ground: Twelve Lessons in Spiritual Passage (2001), both published by Ballantine Books.

In 1989, Gloria received a grant from the Laurence D. Rockefeller Fund for the Advancement of the Human Spirit. In 2002, Women and Wisdom Foundation, Inc. honored Gloria at their “Service to Spirit” Award Banquet and initiated “The Gloria D. Karpinski Grant for Spiritual Study and Renewal.”

Also in 2002, Gloria was presented the keys to her native city of Greensboro, North Carolina, for her outstanding achievements and contributions. In June 2003, she received an honorary ordination by the New Seminary, an interfaith seminary established in New York in 1981.Gloria lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
