The Women’s Wellness Society’s™ mission is simple but empowering, “Bridging the gap between women and wellness”  Our goal; to Educate, Empower and Enrich!

You know, it seems like just yesterday when I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. As a young girl just turning 18, I was scared. Without a single friend who knew how to console me, without a doctor who specialized in the disease, without a single book on the shelves offering guidance and without the internet to research my new found affliction, I felt helpless. I went on to endure 4 surgeries to my abdomen, one being so invasive it took me almost a year to recover from.  After my last surgery, I was told in recovery that there was a good chance that I would never have children. You can only imagine the sadness I felt having been adopted; not knowing if I would never see a child of my own.

Just coming out of the woods, at least for the time being from that illness, I was then diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. In two years time, my life became a whirlwind of confusion, loneliness and sadness. I felt my body would never be the same again. For years, I chose to keep all the emotional pain inside.

After my last surgery I decided I had no other option but to rely upon me and my own ability to obtain the knowledge necessary to keep my body and immune system in good health. I was done with treatments for the illnesses, I wanted to learn the causes behind my poor health and make my own informed choices on the treatments.  Finding that knowledge not only became my passion, it became my career as I went on to teach women all over the world about nutrition and environmental wellness.

Looking back, I must say that the journey to becoming healthy was not an easy one. As I delved into the world of buying organic, switching to holistic doctors and reading up on the latest treatments and modalities available to me, I grew even more confused. I found there to be so many options with so many names and purposes, I wondered if I would ever sort through it all to find what I needed in my life to give me peace of mind and to prevent these types of afflictions from re-occurring.

Well here I am today, 16 years later. I haven’t figured it all out but I have learned a lot along the way. I have a wonderful family, two little girls and I enjoy great health.  That is not to say that I don't struggle with the day to day things that every other woman faces like eating the right foods and getting the correct amount of exercise, but each day I surround myself with talented women and men who can help me along the way.

My inspiration behind WWS™ was to create a support for women of like minds. A network of women world-wide that could join together in times of need to offer advice, support and help, both online and in person. I realize that many of you are in search of the same knowledge and support that I was in need of years ago, and many of you come to us as professionals who can help shed light on your areas of expertise. Together, I believe we can move mountains.  If we truly analyze our lives, we will find that in every adversity, there is a purpose.  My adversities were the building blocks for the wonderful Women's Wellness Society that we all share today!  One thing I know for sure, none of us ever have to be alone again!  All you have to do is reach out your hand, and there will be another hand waiting to grab onto yours!

Whatever stage you are in your life, whether you are at the pinnacle of good health, or on the other end of the spectrum, Women's Wellness Society exists to support your health goals as we believe very strongly in the old addage, An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure!  Give the gift of knowledge, friendship and health to yourself, come and join us today!

    Nancy Olliver

Coming from a little factory town in South Jersey, Nancy got her taste of nursing early on. As a little girl she was always caring for her single mother, whom had multiple sclerosis, and was frequently bed ridden. It was during this time that the seeds for her entrepreneurial spirit were also planted. " I would read positive mental attitude books to my mom because she was visually impaired due to the MS. She believed that her mind possessed the  the ability and power to heal her body, which it eventually did ". Nancy attributes her desire to care for  people and encourage them to lead a life full of health and wellness to the unique opportunities she had as a child. Helping people to lead the best life they can has always been a driving force in her life. She has always had a strong desire to help people overcome what ever obstacles that were put in there way, as she has done herself, since childhood, growing up in a project with a disabled single mother.

Armed with the belief that she could do anything, Nancy saw her meager beginnings as the springboard to do something great with her life. Her mother was an artist and fit the stereo type perfectly. Brilliant, talented and broke. Here, again the principals of overcoming and survival were applied in their family when there was more month then money, which was usually the case. " My brothers and I would sell anything we could get our hands on. We would sell newspapers, collect cans, pick trash and resell it(before it was fashionable) and my mom and I would make crafts for my adorable little redheaded brother to sell at the nearby retirement community. They just couldn't resist him". Nancy also inherited her mothers artistic talent and battled for years on what to be when she grew up." It was a constant battle for me" She loves caring for people and knows she is called to be an extension of GODs healing-hands, but has such a passion for creating that it can not be quenched. After examining the limited financial resources she grew up with she decided to pursue a degree in nursing and graduated in 1981 from Cumberland County College, in Vineland NJ as a Registered Nurse. Nancy absolutely loved being a nurse, had a gift for starting IV's so she worked on an IV therapy team and in the emergency room, during the early her early years of her practice.

The next few years would again prove to be a driving force toward establishing a lifestyle of health and wellness. " I was sick all the time" I was tired and had developed many symptoms of diabetes" My father was a brittle diabetic so this always concerned me" . She went to several doctors and they could never diagnose a definitive problem, until one day after consulting with an emergency room colleague, whom had been published several times as a authority on chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosed her with one of the worst cases he had ever seen. He told her that the disease was not curable and that she would have to modify her life style. She looked him square in the eye with that tenacity that was  developed back in her youth and told him " watch me" If anybody can ever overcome this I will" She went on a campaign to beat this chronic condition and gain her life back. She researched all the available literature and came up with a plan of treatment based on natural foods, juicing, vitamin, mineral and herbal therapy. There was one point in time that her skin turned orange from all the betacarotene in the carrots. "I was burning up a juicer every couple months" , then my wonderful husband brought me home a juice man and I was in business" . It took a few years of commitment to to her plan to conquer it. but the symptoms slowly started to reverse and she started to get her life back again.

Now armed with the knowledge to conquer such a devastating process Nancy started marketing health and nutritional supplements. The next  major obstacle would be to lose the nearly 100 pounds she gained from as a result of the metabolic processes and lack of physical activity for so long. So at nearly 250 pounds she started a program of exercise and diet modification that would lead her to a weight loss of nearly 100 pounds over a four year period. Again she turned another adversity into an advantage. It was during this period that Kellie and Nancy became partners in a health and nutrition business. They combined their experience together and built customized health, nutrition and diet plans for people desiring to prosper and live healthier wealthier lifestyles.  After a few years of success the girls moved to  different areas of the country to pursue different endeavors, but were never more then a phone call away from each other. Kellie established Women's Wellness Society and Women that Win and Nancy built her Art business, the Mosaic China Cabinet and managed to obtain a Masters degree in nursing from the University of South Florida, which brought her to Florida. Now armed and dangerous with her masters in Nursing and  Board Certified as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Nancy obtained a position at the prestigious Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and developed  the Patient Smoking Cessation Program . She was also the founder of the Moffitt Tobacco Prevention and Treatment Healthcare Provider Initiative, an educational project; that was grant funded by the Florida Department of Health, which was designed to increase awareness among healthcare providers, on the effect tobacco use has on the treatment outcomes of chronic disease and cancer patients.

With all this project and program development experience behind her, when Nancy was approached by Kellie for the third time, to partner with her on Women's Wellness Society Nancy was ready to accept the challenge. Nancy stated that she has tremendously missed working in the health and wellness community since she had been in school and couldn't wait to launch new projects. "Women's Wellness Society is a new chapter of my life that I am extremely excited about". Nancy is also thrilled to be working with Kellie again and has always believed they make an unstoppable team. She is looking forward to applying her knowledge of system and project development, along with her passion for living healthy   and the desire she has to help people lead more prosperous well lives, into the development and launching of the Women's Wellness Society's new "Green" division.
